Siamo più che felici di annunciare che "Senseless>Sense", l'atteso album di debutto dei Piatcions, sarà pubblicato il 5 Settembre prossimo venturo dalla label londinese I Blame The Parents.
L'etichetta fondata da Martin Brimicombe è una delle nuove labels UK più attive, appassionate e affidabili, con ottime bands già in catalogo (The Outdoor Types, The Alligators, ecc..)

L'album sarà disponibile in cd digipack e digital.
"Senseless>Sense" è per i Piatcions l'album della maturazione - un intreccio di suoni che costruiscono riffs epici e abbaglianti di marca Space / Kraut.
L'album è stato registrato presso La Sauna di Varese, con la produzione di James Aparicio (di recente al mixer per Wild Palms, Liars e Spiritualized).
Robert Toher degli Apse (NYC, "Spirit" Acuarela 2005, "Climb Up" ATP 2008) ha arricchito con la sua voce inconfondibile i brani "Red Van" e "Singapore Mon Amour".
L'artwork è stato curato da Ciaran O'Shea (Disc Error Rec, ECC).
Il primo 7" dei Piatcions, "Fireworks Generation", è del 2009. La band di Domodossola ha poi pubblicato nel Maggio 2010 l'EP digitale "Time", diventato subito un classico nu-gaze, fino a guadagnare la Top 5 2010 fra gli EPs per Anti Snob Blog (US), accanto a Cold War Kids e The See See.
Negli scorsi anni i Piatcions hanno affrontato ben 2 tour europei, e nel 2010 diverse trasferte londinesi, portando il loro sound compatto e ipnotico su palchi di venues storiche come Proud Galleries a Camden, Peter Parker's R'n'R Club a Soho, Strawberries Fields Club a Stepney Green e il Club Das Ende a Southampton con Suicide Party e One Unique Signal, facendosi notare e apprezzare sia dal pubblico che dagli addetti ai lavori.
Con un tour Uk vero e proprio previsto per la settimana della release e un nuovo tour europeo a Novembre a cui parteciperà anche Robert Toher - e ovviamente nuove date italiane - i prossimi meesi si annunciano densi di impegni e aspattative!

Il riff della titletrack è di quelli che non si staccano più dalla testa ed il resto è un delirio di echi floreali, Silver Apples, MBV. Una prova ottima. Troublezine
"Singapore Mon Amour": un parto squilibrato alla Motorpsycho, con un groove caldo ed instancabile nonché quella dose di sperimentazione afrodisiaca. Rockaction (band del mese online a Maggio)
Time come Weller che scrive per i Charlatans agli anni del Northern Soul dopati dai Kula Shaker, classicissimi ma inappuntabili. Blow Up.

Sounds XP // Thee Piatcions are a fine psychedelic pop outfit from Northern Italy. There EP has the drones and grooves of bands like Spacemen 3, The Warlocks and the BRMC but retains its pop hooks.
Loudhorizon.com // Title track'Time' is l ike the Stone Roses had just come back from their summer holidays in India. There's a great, smooth shuffling sound of jangly guitars with and Eastern tip, mixed up with slight reverb on the vocals and harmonies. Class! (9/10)
Mojophenia // Try mixing The Bryds, Velvet Underground and Spacemen 3, add some Italian sophistication, you`re sure gonna get the right kind of result.
Unpeeled // They managed to travel backwards in time to rediscover, rework and excavate the original site of the Shoegaze, the late sixties. Not that Thee Piatcions are slavish revivalists, they take a genre, fuck with it and produce some fresh mown, hotly oiled, vaguely soulful, doped up garage rock.
Hits In the Car // They find inspiration in psych rock of the 60'es and the alternative rock scene of the early 90'es and blends it all together nicely to create a very intriguing sound.
